Comporta is located at 30min from the beaches of Carvalhal and Comporta. Praia do Carvalhal is a huge sandy beach surrounded by dunes, and bathed by a calm sea. The huge sandy beach of Praia da Comporta is popular with vacationers due to its easy access, combined with ample parking space. Being on the limits of the Sado Estuary Natural Reserve, this beach is a preserved natural space, where the original dune vegetation is preserved, surrounded by pine forest.
